Why Should I Activate Accelerated Check-In?

You can save time at the counter when you activate Accelerated Check-in online. Just provide your driver's license and contact information that is normally collected at pick-up and we will be ready when you arrive.

Accelerated Check-in is available at all locations. Skip the Counter is available only at select airport locations. Complete Check-in to find out if you’re eligible!

To Activate Accelerated Check-in:

Enter your Virgin Holidays reservation number along with the renter’s first and last name
Provide the renter’s valid driver's license and contact information to activate Accelerated Check in
Once completed, at pickup we’ll quickly confirm your information at the Alamo counter or self-service kiosk (if available) and provide your rental agreement. Please do not go directly to the car.

To Skip the Counter:

Activate Accelerated Check-in, then complete required information that would normally be collected at the counter:
Accept or Decline protection options
Accept Rental Terms & Conditions and Local Addenda (if applicable)
Add Driver’s License and Contact Information for all drivers on the reservation
Add an acceptable method of payment (no charge is made until the time of rental)
Once completed, remember to print your ticket, and at pickup you can go directly to your vehicle and we’ll verify your details as you exit the lot!

Important Information:

Please note that if you reserved a child seat or GPS navigation device, you can check-in, but you will need to collect your child seat or GPS from an Alamo representative before selecting your vehicle.

If you amend your booking prior to travel, the online check-in documentation will become void and you will need to check in again to reprint your documentation.

Skip the Counter Requirements

After Activating Accelerated Check-In, you must also meet the following requirements to be eligible to Skip the Counter:

Reservation must be at a rental location that offers Skip the Counter.
Reservation must not exceed 30 days.
Reservation must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Reservation cannot include certain add-ons that need to be added to vehicle (i.e. mobility devices, etc).

Renter must use a major credit card to secure rental (debit cards do not qualify).
The name on the reservation must match the name on the credit card.
Additional local deposit requirements may apply.
Rental pick up cant be more than a year in advance, please revisit when the booking is less than a year to the pick up date
