1. Take a Scenic Gondola Ride to Der Fondue Chessel
The famous Der Fondue Chessel restaurant at the top of North Peak offers dining options that include traditional Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue, Caesar salad, meats and seafood cooked on tabletop grills, and chocolate fondue. Strolling musicians play Bavarian songs, including the “Chicken Dance.” A gondola ride up to 11,444 feet provides a spectacular view of Keystone on the way to the restaurant, which is open throughout the winter season.
