Life gets busy, your obligations seem never-ending and surviving life’s obstacles becomes your focus. With all the everyday obligations, finding the time to connect with your significant other can be difficult. While it is totally understandable, being intentional about reconnecting with the one you love is extremely important. Making the time to connect with your significant other is not something you "should" do, it's something you "need" to do.
Ideally, my husband, Art, and I would be able to make time for each other as a couple every day, but unfortunately that isn’t always realistic. That is why taking a trip together to reconnect, even if just for the weekend, is perfect. With another weekend getaway for Art and I in the works, I was reminded of how much I loved our time together in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, almost two years ago.
While in Gatlinburg, we were able to slow down, unplug from our daily commitments and simply focus on each other. We laughed, held hands as we walked around town and talked about topics other than our daily recaps and responsibilities. It allowed us to truly be in the moment and enjoy each other's company as we explored and enjoyed what Gatlinburg had to offer.
A weekend away together was just what we needed to reconnect!
When was the last time you were able to get away with your special someone? No matter how long it has been since your last couples’ trip, it may just be time to plan another one. If so, consider going to Gatlinburg. After flying into Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS), there is so much for you both to do and enjoy there.
While in Gatlinburg you can visit ...
Showcasing sharks, sea turtles, sting rays, penguins and many other sea animals, this aquarium is not just for kids to enjoy! Add to the fun by experiencing a glass-bottom boat ride that offers a unique way of seeing some of the animals. Did you know that Ripley’s Believe It or Not was established in Gatlinburg in 1918? Now, they have eight attractions in the area, one of which is the Aquarium.
