You may utilize the TollPass™ Service, which currently consists of the following three options:
Options 1 and 2:
Utilize an Installed Transponder or Simply Drive on a Toll Road
Under Option 1 or 2, you will be charged $4.95 per day (also referred to as a TollPass Convenience Charge) for using the TollPass Service with a rental period maximum of $34.65, plus the amount of each toll that you incur (please see the Additional Terms and Conditions below for additional information). Under Option 1 or 2, you will not be charged for the TollPassTM Service on rental days that you don’t use a toll road and incur a toll. The TollPassTM Service charge and the amount of each toll will be charged to the debit or credit card on file with your rental Contract and will appear separately from rental Contract charges on your credit or debit card statement (please see the Additional Terms and Conditions below for additional information).
Option 3: Rent a Transponder (only available at certain locations)
At certain locations you may also have the option to rent a transponder (also referred to as a toll collection transponder) from us at the rate of $4.95 per day with a rental period maximum of $34.65, plus the amount of each toll. The transponder rental charge will appear on your rental Contract and applies to every rental day – with a rental period maximum of $34.65– regardless of whether the rental vehicle is driven on a toll road and incurs a toll. Toll charges will be charged to the debit or credit card on file with your rental Contract and will appear separately from rental Contract charges on your credit or debit card statement. (Please see the Additional Terms and Conditions below for additional information).
Other Options
To avoid TollPass Service charges, you may use your own personal E-ZPass transponder or account. Some transponder issuers may require you to register a rental vehicle and/or license plate with your account within a certain time-period prior to driving on toll roads. Contact your transponder issuer for details on how to use your personal E-ZPass transponder or account with your rental vehicle. If you do not register your vehicle if and as required by the transponder issuer, you will be automatically enrolled in the TollPass Service if you drive on a toll road and incur a toll.
You may use the cash toll lanes (where available) and pay for your tolls as you incur them.
Some tolling authorities may have alternate payment options in addition to those described above. Check with the local tolling authority or visit www. tollpassgo.com for options.
If you drive on a toll road and incur a toll during the rental period without paying for the toll using one of the options described above, you will be automatically enrolled in the TollPass Service.
If using the TollPass Service, other than the charge for the rental of a transponder/toll collection transponder described above in Option 3, all tollrelated charges incurred during your rental period will be charged to the debit or credit card on file with your rental Contract once the toll data is received from the toll authority. Typically the toll data is received and toll-related charges will be billed within approximately 4-6 weeks. Renters who don’t have a credit or debit card on file will receive an invoice for all toll-related charges. Tolls incurred are billed at the higher of the applicable toll authority’s video toll rate, cash toll rate or highest undiscounted toll rate.
Go to www.tollpassgo.com or call (877) 765-5201. You may also sign up to receive receipts by email by visiting tollpassgo.com, clicking Receipts, selecting your rental car agency and entering the name as it appears on your rental Contact and Contract number or partial credit card number used to pay for your rental.
The TollPassTM Service applies to toll roads in the Northeastern United States, but the coverage area is subject to change. For questions about specific roads please call (877) 765-5201 or visit www.tollpassgo.com.
The optional TollPass Service accepted by Renter provides for the daily rental of a toll collection transponder or, in some states, the use of a pre-installed device or video-monitored toll collection services.
In addition to the daily charge for the TollPass Service, Owner, its affiliate or a third party may separately charge Renter’s credit or debit card (or bill Renter, as applicable, for cash rentals or if no credit or debit card is on file) for each toll (or other charge) incurred using the transponder, pre-installed device or video monitored service during the Rental Period within the TollPass Service area at the higher of the applicable toll authority’s video toll rate, cash toll rate or highest undiscounted toll rate.
Renter expressly authorizes Owner or its affiliate to transfer to a third party Renter’s name, address, credit/debit card information, and other data necessary to enable the collection of all such amounts. No credit is provided for the days a rented transponder is not utilized if renting a transponder. TollPass Service has a limited service area; attempting to use the service outside the service area may subject the Renter and/or any AAD(s) to fines and penalties (please see Paragraph 3.c(3.) of the Additional Terms and Conditions of your rental Contract). A current listing of TollPass Service area covered roads is available upon request, at www.tollpassgo.com or (877) 765-5201.
